Steps and facts
- Connect your business calendar so the AI can check real availability, offer other times and create an appointment after the customer confirms.
- In Configuration, open Google Calendar and click Connect Google Calendar.
- Sign in to the Google account that owns or can edit the business calendar and approve Calendar access.
- Select the calendar, time zone, meeting duration, buffer, working days and opening hours.
- Set the booking horizon, enable AI appointment booking and save.
- Use Check availability or View week to inspect free/busy times; private event titles and descriptions are not shown.
- Booking requires AI sending to be enabled in Semi-auto mode.
- Draft-only and Off do not create appointments.
- Ask a clear question with a date and time: “Can I book October 12 at 14:00?” The AI checks the calendar and offers up to six free alternatives if that time is busy.
- It specifies the time zone, asks for your email, spells the address back with the first offered time, and asks for your confirmation.
- To choose another time, state its date and time first, then confirm the new offer.
- The server checks availability again before creating the appointment and confirms only after Google returns success.
- Repeated confirmation does not create another appointment.
- If the time became busy, the AI offers another time and asks for a fresh confirmation.
- Existing events remain in Google Calendar.
- Disconnect stops CatchGrow access locally; revoke permission in your Google Account if needed.
- Email invitations follow confirmed email and slot readback. Cancellation and rescheduling are not included in this version.
- Each workspace uses its own Google connection.
- First-time use needs a successful Google connection and a verified test appointment.
- If Google reports missing permissions or API setup, the platform administrator must check Google Calendar API and OAuth settings.
- The Weekly calendar shows a seven-day time grid. Use Today, the date picker and previous/next week arrows to navigate. Busy intervals are orange; working hours are green; other hours are gray. The view uses the saved calendar and time zone.
- Working-hour shading alone does not confirm a bookable slot. Use Check availability; booking rules, duration, buffer and fresh Google data still apply.
- If Google says its Calendar API is not enabled, the CatchGrow platform administrator must enable Google Calendar API in the existing Google Cloud project. Customers do not need to create their own Google Cloud project. An unavailable calendar is never displayed as free.
- Appointment invitations require the customer’s email. After offering a real available slot, the assistant repeats the email letter by letter together with the date, time and timezone. Only the customer’s confirmation of that delivered readback creates the event and sends an invitation. A corrected address must be confirmed again. Availability, AI mode and human takeover rules still apply.
